Charles Addis, age 76, of Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Edith Addis, brother; Randy Burkhart, sister; Wanda Casteel and a nephew, Shannon Addis.
Mr. Addis was a veteran of the United States Navy as well the Army National Guard. He retired after 20 years as a mechanic with Whitfield County Sheriff's Department.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Goss Addis; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Jeff Johnson of Nashville, TN.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles C. and Haley Addis of Burns, TN.; sisters and brother-in-law, Patty Morgan of Dunlap, TN., Janice and Glen Routherford of Knoxville, TN.; brothers and sister-in-law, Arvin Bolden of Ringgold, GA., David and Linda Addis of Rocky Face, GA.; grandchildren, Gavin and Ella Johnson, Lillie, Sydney and John Avery Addis; Nephew, Steven Addis; Nieces, Paige (Brian) Runyan, Paige (Joe) Vandergriff, Tondra Swanger.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home .
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Dunagan Cemetery.
