Edgar A. Arbogast, 73, died at 4:07 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center. Mr. Arbogast had been under a doctor's care.
Mr. Arbogast was formerly employed with Thor 1935 to 1955, and with The Eureka from 1955 to 1971. He retired in 1971 from the projects engineering department.
Mr. Arbogast was born July 4, 1905, on a farm near Saybrook, a son of Baker Harvey and Nancy Jane Williams Arbogast.
He married Virginia Cora Allen on April 18, 1936, in Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are a son, James; two sisters, Dorothy Birckelbaw and Carolyn Engel ; two brothers, Dean and Russell; and two granddaughters.
A brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of First Christian Church, the Genealogical Society and McLean County Historical Society.
Mr. Arbogast attended Saybrook High School, Eureka College and Greer School of Aviation Mechanics, Chicago.
