Earl W. Bowman, 79, of Pace passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007.

Mr. Bowman was born in Greensboro, NC and lived many years the in Pace/Pensacola area for many years. He was retired from the advertising department of Pensacola News Journal and a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Mr. Bowman was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Bowman stated "I have a full life of love for Christ and God. In the past I did not have complete faith. Now I do not have to worry because I have salvation offered to me by Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Bible is the word of God and I live with it and will die with it. I have ask for forgiveness so I could forgive others. I have prayed others will join me in heaven. In my lifetime I started work for the newspaper in Greensboro, NC at age 17 and retired at the age of 55, with 20 months in service during the Korean Conflict. I hope I have kept others out of harms way by being a Field First Sergeant with the correct teaching and training and support they needed. I also served in the North Carolina Guar, the National Guard and attended a leadership Training Course at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. I have been blessed family, friends and members of Pine Forest United Methodist Church where I teach Sunday School, sing in Nursing Homes monthly and believe in Prayer Groupsplus offer some ministry at the Airstream Trailer Park."

Preceding him in death was his first wife, Joyce Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Bowman, whom I met and married in Pine Forest United Methodist Church; three daughters, Susan Lewis, Theresa Ranz and Cheryl Foster; son-in-law, Martin Campbell (wife Cindy; and two grandsons, Ryan and Aaron Cardone.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation for one hour prior to services.

A private burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Covenant Hospice 5041 North Twelfth Avenue Pensacola, FL 32504.
