Mrs. Agness Henrietta Byrum, wife of Mr. J. W. Byrum, died Thursday afternoon at her home one mile west of this place. Mrs. Byrum had been afflicted for more than a year and had been confined to her bed for five months. During her illness she was twice taken to the Charlotte Sanitorium, but received no permanent benefit. The funeral services were conducted from the residence Friday morning by her pastor, Rev. C. M. Campbell, and the remains were buried Friday afternoon at Weddington. She was 62 years old and was a member of the Waxhaw Methodist church. Mrs. Byrum is survived by a husband and nine children.
