Judith Carol Drury Cooley Ross, 66, Harrisonville, died Nov. 16, 2007, at her home.
She was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Adrian, the daughter of Henry Richard and Lois Christine (Snow) Drury.
She attended school in Altona and Austin and graduated from Archie High School in 1959.
Mrs. Ross worked as a secretary at the Cass County Courthouse for 17 years and the VFW National Headquarters in Kansas City until her retirement in 1993.
She loved her grandchildren and was an avid sports fan.
Mrs. Ross was a member of the Cass County Women's Democratic Club and Women's VFW Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joseph; her sister, Maryann Hoenshell; and her niece Jonakay Hoenshell.
Surviving are a son, Randy Cooley, Drexel; two daughters, Ronda Reinert and husband, Bob, St. Joseph, and Raylene Justice, Harrisonville; three sisters, Sharon Ford, Archie, Henrietta Ward and husband, Larry, Harrisonville, and Marsha Bonnette and husband, Randy, Belton; a brother in-law, Dean Hoenshell, Harrisonville; five grandchildren, Kelsey and Dallas Justice,
Trevor Cooley, Bobbi Jo Howe and Jamie Hobick; and other relatives and friends.
Honorary casket bearers were Ben Richiter, Cecil Zahn, Carl Stacer, Jay Marshall, Dean Hoenshell, Bobbi Jo Howe, Trevor Cooley, Kelsey Justice and Dallas Justice.
Casket bearers were Keven Ford, Terry Hoenshell, Tommy Messina, Jason Coffey, Ryan Howe and Gary Hall.
Services were Nov. 19 at the Atkinson Funeral Home Harrisonville, with the Rev. Joe Crook officiating. Music was by Larry Cantrell, soloist, and Janet Allbaugh, pianist.
Burial was in the Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
