Born in Jackson, Ohio on August 24, 1916, a daughter of George Monroe, she had lived in Barberton the last 50 years. A member of the first Barberton First Church of the Nazarene. She worked for 15 years with Babcock & Wilcox Co. in the food service department, retiring in 13 years ago.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Abrams. Survivors include Dana (Ed) (Pauline) of Akron, and Ira (Jim) of Florida; daughters, Shelby Shure of Ellet, Saundra Boyes and Diane Peters, both of Kenmore, and Linda Durkin of Massillon; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed Abrams of Columbus; and a sister, Roma Herald of Chillicothe.
Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park following funeral in Hahn Funeral Home.
