Roy A Teeter of Quapaw, OK passed from this life Sunda, July 18, 2021 at Global Higher Call Nursing in Quapaw, OK. He was 96.
Roy was born February 8, 1925 in North Liberty, IA to Frank and Bertha (Maxey) Teeter. He was a Technician 5, in the U.S. Army 1255th Combat Engineering Battalion during WWII. He served 18 months in the Europeon Theater and was one of the Purple Heart Recipients. He owned and operated Teeter's Garage in Quapaw from 1952 until his retirement. He was a retired Fire Chief of the Quapaw Volunteer Fire Department. Roy was preced in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bill Teeter and Pat Teeter and 3 sisters, Evelyn Bragg, Dorothy Randleman and Elsie Halmick.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at NEO Memorial Veterans' Cemetery in North Miami, OK. Pastor John Dorsey will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Pallbearers will be Roy's sons and grandson. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local DAV Chapter. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
