LEPANTO — George Robert Chaney, 68, of Lepanto died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007.

He was a Baptist by faith and a truck driver by occupation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.M. and Telitha Chaney; two sisters, Faye Foote and Kaye Farley; and one brother, Gary Chaney.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann Chaney; two daughters, Tammy Tyler and Ginger Clark, all of Lepanto; four brothers, Edward Chaney and Howard Chaney, both of Huntington, William Chaney of Fayetteville and John Chaney of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Jean Dickerson of Ocala, Fla., and Mary Ann Deeds, Joyce Jones and Susie Argo, all of Lepanto; four grandchildren, Christie Austin, Adam Chamberlin, Bucky Chamberlin and Kim Tyler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:30 until 8 this evening.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Murphy Funeral Home Chapel at Lepanto with Jim Duffel officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott McMunn, Freddie Simpson, Bud Brownley, Gary Piccard, Gary Burcham, Steve Allison and Norvell Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be H.C. Bradford, Scott Bolan, Buddy Tyler, Ricky Bryan and Jackie Bryan.
