Emil Gertsch, 94, St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning at his home. Z: He was born May 5, 1888, in Oshkosh, the son of John and Elizabeth Wenger Gertsch. He married Ruth H. Tallman in St. Joseph, Mo.
Mr. Gertsch was president of Gertsch American Glass Inc. in St. Joseph. He was a Baptist by faith.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Masonic Lodge No. 78 for over 50 years, was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Moila Shrine Temple, Radiant Chapter No. 88 of Order of Eastern Star, Swiss Lodge, and St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce.
His widow survives.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Meierhoffer--Freeman Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mo. Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh, the Rev. Dennis Cronkright officiating. Konrad Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
