Katherine L. Colburn, age 94, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 surrounded by her family. Katherine was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Fred and Lillian Lee. Also preceded in death by husband Joe and sister Barbara (Phil) Rea. Katherine was a graduate of The Ohio State University. She was very active with (DAR) Daughters of the American Revolution where she was Chapter and State Regent, National Vice-Regent and National Historian General; Senior Chapter and State Regent for Children of American Revolution and National Vice Regent; National Society of the Colonial Dames of America; National Society United States Daughters of 1812; The Ohio Eastern Star; Kiwanis; Shriners Ladies; and a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Katherine loved cardinals and had quite the collection of cardinals. She and her husband loved to travel, having visited 49 of the 50 states. Katherine will be deeply missed by her three loving sons; loving daughter; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two nieces. Burial at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children in her name.
