Captain Frederick Galway Cadiz DSC.

It has been claimed that he served in the Royal Navy during World War 1, and was torpedoed 6 times.
He managed to save a ship by reversing it.

Frederick Galway Cadiz, aged 76, a widower, a Retired Master Mariner, late of The Lodge, Cullenswood House, Oakley Road, Ranelagh, died on 3 November 1948, at The Meath Hospital, Heytesbury Street, Dublin.
The cause of death was Cholecystitis, 2 months, Post Operative Shock, 24 hours, certified.
