Mrs. Letitia (Letty) Spindler, 81, formerly of 3637 10th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday, December 1989 at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 am January 13, 1990 at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. David Klutterman will officiate. Cremation will have taken place and the cremains will be placed in the columbarium of St. James Church.
Mrs. Spindler was born May 26, 1908 at Champion, Michigan, daughter of the late William and Carrie Williams Champion. She taught schools in Knoxville, Tennessee and later at McKinley School, Manitowoc. She married James E. Spindler Sr. on September 19, 1931 at Rhinelader, Wisconsin and the couple returned to Manitowoc to make their home. Mrs. Spindler was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the Service League.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Genevieve Spindler Jr. of Germantown, Wisconsin, Fredric and Lynn Spindler of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christopher Spindler of Weaverville, North Carolina and Jane Spindler of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She preceded in death by her husband, James in April, 1989 and a son, David Spindler.
