Reeses, the Peanut Butter Cup was named for his beautiful coloring. Black dark chocolate and peanut butter brown. He was likely part Sheltie and part long haired Dachshund. He had distinctive long fur on his paws, and the summer foxtails loved to catch a ride.

One of a kind. He was very human at times and could have a lot of attitude, with his independent nature and very playful spirit. When he got excited, he'd run around or jump up in the air and bark for fun. If he didn't want to hike any more, he'd slow down to a snail's pace. You'd think he was beyond tired. Yet, when you finally decided to give up and go back to the car, he'd suddenly start running back with vigor. What an actor or clown. He was very clever and was an excellent navigator. He loved to travel, well most of the time anyway.

He had to put up with a lot of other critters, like 4 rabbits, 2 ferrets, birds, blue belly lizards, squirrels, and lots of other dogs that his owner would walk. No wonder he loved to sleep in the parked car, his dog cave.

He was about 19 years old and what a character and treasure. He will be tremendously missed by many.
