Dorothy Frazier Mabe, 83, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 11, 2007 in Sun City, Fla. She was born in Bluefield, W.Va. on June 15, 1924. She was the daughter of Newton Harman and Mamie Lee Edwards.

Dorothy was a gifted musician and shared her talent throughout the community bringing joy and pleasure to her friends and loved ones. She also appreciated this ability in others. Her true talent was her ability to hear a song and then play the song. Her musical ability was recognized both far and wide for accompanying style shows, talent shows, dancing recitals, churches and weddings. A piano came alive with her classical touch and she continued her love of music in Sun City, Fla., where she lived for past ten years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children: Clarence R. Harry, and later by husbands: J. Taylor Frazier and Doren Mabe.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheri Lambert of Bluefield, and a son, Robert E. Harry and his wife Lorraine of Naples, Fla.; a brother, James P. Edwards and wife Katherine of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren: David Seay and Thomas Seay of Durham, N.C., Robert Seay of Bluefield, Laura Wood of Princeton, Robert Harry, Jr. of Naples, Fla., and Jeff Harry of Ponte Verda, Fla., and eleven great-grandchildren.

A private burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at a celebration of Dorothy's life on Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the home of her daughter, at 501 Oakhurst Avenue.
