Lois J. Shireman, age 89, of 960 S. Rapids Road, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday May 10, 1999, at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Officiating will be Rev. William Plank.
Lois was born November 12, 1909 at Cedarburg, Wis., daughter of the late George and Lydia Jochem Blaeser. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of Masquers, past president and member of the Business & Professional Women's Club, 50 year member Order of the Eastern Star #196, past member and president of the Matrons Club, past member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, member of the Manitowoc County Historical Society and Manitowoc Maritime Museum.
Survivors include one sister, Georgia Calahan, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Helen Blaeser, Massachusetts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Blaeser.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory from 2 p.m. on Monday until the time of services at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
