Mary Belle Lowe was the daughter of James Milton Lowe and Malinda Betty Jordan. She had at least two sisters, Addie and Martha A.

On September 25, 1892 in Trigg County, KY Mary Belle married Hyrum Franklin Chambers (1870 - 1941) and had 13 children, among them Bertie Mae (Chambers) Joyce-Blackburn, my Great Grandmother.

Mrs. Chambers, 78, Dies in Riverside

Mrs. Mary Belle Chambers, 78, of 611 Hughes street, died Tuesday [November 27, 1951] at 5:45 am at Riverside Hospital.

A native of Trigg County, Mrs. Chambers had been a resident of Paducah for one year. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include four sons, Wakefield Chambers, Dearborn, Mich.; James Chambers, Evansville, Ind; Charlie Chambers, Golden Pond; and Wesley Chambers, Paducah; four daughters, Mrs. Bertie Joyce, Mes. Cara Lampkins [Sarah Lamkin] and Mrs. Florence Minor [Mynor], all of Paducah, and Mrs. Geneva Dunn, Murray; two brothers, Jim Lowe, Madisonville and John R. Lowe, Paducah; 28 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am today at Lindsey funeral home, W. E. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Newton cemetery, Trigg county.

Six grandsons will serve as active pallbearers and six granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends may call at Lindsey funeral home.
