Mr. Jeffery Lynn Parks, 55, husband of the late JoAnn Parks and a resident of Tangier, VA passed away Monday, November 12, 2007, at his residence. Born on March 23, 1952, on Tangier Island and reared in Wilmington, DE, Mr. Parks was the son of Owen A. Parks and Isabelle T. Parks of Tangier. He was a carpenter. Other than his parents, survivors include a sister, Rose Lee Parks of Tangier; two brothers, Owen A. Parks, Jr. and Hugh J. Parks, both of Wilmington, DE and several nieces and nephews. Other than his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, David Parks. Funeral services will be conducted from the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Friday, November 16, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Jones and Mr. Strickland Crockett officiating. Interment will follow in the Thorne Family Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church on Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00.
