She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Romeiser, her husband Bob and three children Kyle, Jake and Sam of West Chester, PA.; her son Craig Diefenderfer, of Downingtown, PA and his wife Lisa and children Aaron, Andrew, Nolan, and Mason.

Chris enjoyed a long and storied career in public life both in Pennsylvania and in Washington, DC. Chris also developed a Family Orientation Program for families in the NCCU waiting room. Chris cemented her commitment to family healthcare advocacy in 2017 when she became the Stroke Program Patient and Family Consultant all the while continuing to volunteer as co-chair of the Patient and Family Centered Care Advisory Council.
