WILLIAM BOWREN Opening day at Lake Crowley will have one less fisherman standing on the shoreline next year. William Bowren, 83, died peacefully on November 13, 2007. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 6, 1924 he was a WWII Veteran who served as an underwater demolition specialist. William spent 37 years at Pacific Bell, beginning as a lineman and ending as Chief Special Agent. He was active with the Pac Bell Pioneers and numerous St. Finbar's Parish functions, including the Eucharistic Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 61 years; children, Susan, Greg (Diane), Kirk (Marcia), Bonnie Jacobsen (Karl) and Garry (Tracy); twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. They have lived in Burbank since Bonnie was born. William will be joining his two sons, Mark and Barry, who preceded him in death. Job well done Bill Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with Rosary at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Finbar's Church in Burbank on Monday, November 19, 2007, 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Finbar Church, Keystone and Alameda, Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
