Michael Patrick Maney, 66, of Eagan and formerly of La Crosse passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021 at M Health Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born on October 14, 1954 to Bernard and Jean (Schumacher) Maney in La Crosse, WI.  He married Karen Schumacher on April 12, 1980 at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

Mike enjoyed traveling, going out West, deep sea fishing, playing pranks on people, getting the "perfect" gift and wrapping it with lots of scotch tape, attending various supper clubs,  and having fun with his best friends. He was proud of his work in Hotel Management, Best Buy Corporate, and later at Inside Edge in Eagan.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Stephanie Maney; brother, John Maney; step-mother Audrey Maney; mother-in-law, Norma Schumacher; sister-in-law, Janet Bahr; brother-in-law, Steve Schumacher; God-daughter, Kristine Bahr; nieces, Karen Slack and Tiffany Cornell, great-niece, Addie; great-nephews, Colton, Carter, and Cooper.  He is further survived by his step-sisters, Jackie (Joe) Allen, Shelly (Craig) Olson; step-nieces and nephews, Erin Diehl, Travis Allen, Alex (Jennifer) Allen, Katlyn (Aaron) Becker, Charles Boyle; and many more family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Maney; step-father and mother, Jean and Don Lepsch; father-in-law, Walter Schumacher, brother, Patrick Maney; step-sister, Lynn DeBauche; and best friend Ron Schams.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for donation to The American Heart Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and St Luke's Auxiliary.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI. Pastor Phillip Waselik will officiate. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
