Mrs. Albright Dies-
-First City Traffic Death In Three Years-
Mrs Minnie C. Albright, 82, 532 N. Sycamore, died at Ransom Memorial Hospital about 8 p.m. yesterday, giving Ottawa it's first traffic fatality in more than three years.
Mrs. Albright died of injuries suffered when she was struck by a truck driven by Oscar W. Baker, 36, 834 S. Poplar, about 10 a.m. Monday.
Investigating officers said the woman was crossing Walnut Street at 3rd from the west when she was struck by a northbound truck driven by Baker. The truck
reportedly belonged to Sheldon Truck and Tractor Co.
Ottawa's last traffic fatality was Nov. 3, 1958, when Ruth K. Sehnert died following an accident in the 700 block of South Main.
Mrs. Albright, the former Minnie Charlotte Beals, was born March 29, 1880, in Indiana, but had been a Franklin County resident for 74 years. On November 20, 1899, she was married in Ottawa to Albert L. Albright who died July 4,
1949. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Martha Goodman; Valley Falls, and Mrs.Virginia Wilbert, Mission; three sons, Leslie E. Kansas City, Kans; Clarence B., Topeka, and Albert L. Los Angeles, Calif.' seven grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Osborne, Ottawa, and Mrs. Icy Monninger, Johnstown, Colo., and one brother, Evan H. Beals, Silverton, Ore.
Services will be at Louis Dengel & Son Mortuary, Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetary."
