Obituary.
Jesse Keeley was born in Greenfield, Green county, Illinois, May 18, 1847. He was married to Pauline Ella Baldwin in Elkhart, Ill., Feb. 17, 1874. There were three children, one dying in infancy and two living, Mrs. G. W. Davison and Mina Anna Keeley. Mr. and Mrs. Keeley moved to Nebraska from Illinois, Dec. 31, 1878, lived at Alda for 10 years and then went to Kearney for two years, then moved back to Grand Island where Mr. Keeley served one term on the police force under W. H. Platt as mayor.
Mr. Keeley moved with his family to Seattle in 19099. He had been a sufferer of stomach trouble for the past seven years. He was a member of the Grand Island A.O.U.W. lodge No. 1. He died suddenly Saturday evening February 5, 1916, at Kent, Washington.
