He was born Feb. 1, 1968 in Oneida, Tennessee to Floyd and Sharon Vanover Adkins. He was a truck driver and member of Taylor Ridge Baptist Church.
His grandfather, Alonzo Vanover and two uncles, Gary Vanover and David Vanover, preceded him in death.
Survivors include Karen Stephens, Whitley City, the mother of his two children, a son, Dwayne Aaron Adkins and a daughter, Jordan Adkins, both of Whitley City; a stepdaughter, Ashley Stephens, Whitley City; parents, Floyd Dwayne and Sharon Vanover Adkins, Stearns; paternal grandparents, Floyd Lee and Irene Adkins, Oneida, Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Annabelle Vanover; great-grandmother, Della Perkins, Oneida, Tennessee; brother, Robbie D.
