Mrs. Lane was born in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to Los Angeles County with her parents at the age of two. She came to Oakland to attend high school. She moved to Cloverdale mine in Sonoma County, living there for three years, then moving to Cobb Mountain in Lake County, residing there until 1921 when she moved to Oakland. While living in Oakland, she worked at Capwells, retiring in 1961, moving to Napa shortly after. She lives in this area until 1963 when she moved to Lake County where she lived until 1972. She then returned to Napa to stay.
Surviving her is her son, William Gifford of Napa, six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service. Inurnment will be in the Middle Town Cemetery.
