R.A. Bowling of Crane, age 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18th, 2020. He was born on May 5, 1936 north of Aurora to Chester and Clala (Durham) Bowling. R.A. was the second of 4 children. He married Gladys Marie Felton on October 29, 1953, of which they enjoyed 67 years of marriage and together they had 5 children. R.A. was an avid coon hunter, fisherman and horseshoe pitcher. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to good country music and jig dancing. R.A. was a member of the Elm Branch Christin Church.
R.A. is survived by his wife, Marie Bowling. His siblings, Gene Bowling and wife Delpha of Freistatt, Raymond Bowling and wife Anita of Crane, Linda Barton of Aurora. His children Robert M. Bowling of Crane, Brenda Edmondson and husband Phil of Marionville, Kevin Bowing and wife Susan of Aurora, Tena Foster and husband Larry of Crane, Nena Wegrzyn and husband John of Crane. His grandchildren Travis Bowling, Kerry Gold and husband Clayton, Eric Edmonson, Mindy Forrester and husband Seth, Brandon Bowling and wife Ashley, Kristopher Bowling, Kindra Miller and husband Gus, Whitney Jackson and husband John Reed Jackson, Lauren Lippold and husband Nick, Johnathan Wegrzyn and wife Sarah, Josh Wegrzyn, Shanda Yardley and husband Brandon, special brother in JR Felton and a host of great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Jim (Blackie) Barton of Aurora.
Visitation was held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 6-8PM and funeral service on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 10AM at Westrip Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at Osa Cemetery in Crane.
