Bobby Joe Adkins
Bobby Joe Adkins 73, of Key Rock, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 at his home.
Born November 6, 1943 in Key Rock, he was the son of the late Mose and Ida Jane Farley Adkins.
Bobby loved the outdoors, he loved hunting and he was always joking and picking with everyone he knew. He loved making people laugh.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, and by his friend and hunting buddy Ester Adkins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his longtime companion of 47 years Frances Sims. His children Robert Dale Sims, Debra Ann Kendall, Betty Jane DeLong, and Janet Sinecoff: his sister Dorothy Adkins: and his nephew that he loved as a son Roger Buck Adkins, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Services celebrating the life of Bobby will be held Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service in Pineville with Rev. Ernest Francis officiating. Burial will follow in the Privett Cemetery on Key Rock road in Pineville.
Friends can gather with the family from 11:00am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
