[Amenia, Monday November 16, 1885:
Miss Ella O. Landon, youngest
daughter of Fitch Landon died at Sharon
Valley on Tuesday of this week and was
buried on Thursday. She was a most
lovely girl just budding into womanhood,
and was beloved by parents, sisters, brothers,
friends and all who knew her. She
loved her Savior, was devout christian,
and leaned upon the Master's arm as he
safely carried her over the river. To die
was gain. Her Christian faith and example
will long remain among us]
