Dewey S. Leist, 83, Claremont, died at 4:55 a.m. today in his home.
Services will be in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Ryan presiding. Visitation will be in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
Mr. Leist was born Jan. 16, 1900, in Richland County, the son of Reason and Ida (Preston) Leist. He married Maude Atkins Aug. 13, 1942, and she survives.
He was a retired construction worker and painter; and was a member of the Claremont Methodist Church.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Ivy, Bedford, Ind.; a grandchild, Mary Armour; a great-
grandchild, Daniel Lee Armour; several nieces and a great-nephew, Dan Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James E. Leist; three brothers, Jacob, Charles, and
George; and a sister, Jenny Eagleson.
