Bradley, LaVonne D. age 68. LaVonne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who fought a courageous battle with cancer. Mom passed away peacefully at 1:00 PM on March 15, 2009 at home in Andover, MN, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Chuck; daughter, Peggy (David) Anderson; grandchildren, Bethany (Jeff) Leuwerke, Emily Bradley, Dan, Eric and Rachael Anderson; 7 sisters, 3 brothers, numerous nieces & nephews.

The following eulogy was written by Vonnie's son, Chuck Bradley and read at her funeral:

Mom,
You are now at peace and free from pain, for that I am grateful.
I will miss our frequent chats, generally short and about nothing in particular. Just a chance to see how things are going and to share in the days events.
You were always there to share in the good times but even more, to help comfort me when things seemed to be at their worst. It was not uncommon to hear you went somewhere to help a family member or a friend when they needed it most but not before first making sure things were all squared away at home. If I needed help picking out new carpet, a kitchen table or just wanted you to tell me again how long to boil sweet corn, you were there.
Everything was always neat and tidy and in its place. Clutter drove you nuts. Always the perfectionist. If you were crocheting an afghan and discovered you missed a stitch a number of rows back, you would rip it all out to correct the mistake. I doubt whether anyone would've even noticed but you knew it wasn't right so it would never pass inspection.
You would never back away from hard work. If a tree needed to come down in the yard, you were there to help clean up the mess. If concrete was needed for a new shed floor, you were at the mixer. Always a ball of energy, in the thick of things and hard to keep up with at times.
You loved working on family history and spent countless hours writing letters, making phone calls or touring the countryside to uncover as much information as possible to put things in order and make sense of it all. It was fun to hear your excitement in finding something new or a story you ran across and to listen to you talk about it.
You always looked forward to your family gatherings as a chance to visit and see everyone together. Well Mom, we are gathered here today in your honor and as much as you would hate to be the center of attention, or for anyone to make a fuss over you, this day is yours. So take Grandma by the hand, listen to the wonderful ways in which you touched all of our lives as only a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend could do and be proud of the life you shared with us. I know the pain I feel from your loss will pass with time but the memories I have will always be with me. I am comforted by knowing that as our time passes on earth, in a blink, we will all be together again. I am proud to have you as my Mother.

Rest in Peace Mom,
Your Loving Son
