Marie C. Eis, age 80, of 958 Steiners Corners Road, Mishicot, died Friday, January 12, 2001, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 16, 2001, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers, with the Rev. William O'Brien officiating with burial in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills.
Marie was born August 8,1920, in Two Creeks, daughter of the late Otto and Julia Dvorak Sporer. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers. Marie married Harvey Eis on October 27, 1948, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She and her husband farmed in the Town of Two Rivers for many years. Marie was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic church, Two Rivers and the Lakeview-Twin Elder Homemakers Club of Two Creeks. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her niece, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and also with her many special friends.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Frank Eis, Mishicot; one sister-in-law, Bernice and Harris Gibeault, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, including Jack and Linda Eis and family, the Pat Eis family, the Bob and Jean Eis family, the Jeanette and Bernard Van Camp family, and the Larry and Lorraine Wegner family, cousins and many friends. She also preceded in death by one infant son,Jule; one niece, Jane Wagner; one nephew, Donald Eis; two great-nieces, Sara and Terri Eis.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot. There will be a 7:30 pm parish Wake Service at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 9 am Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, until the time of service at 10:30 am.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
