Helen B. Dupuy, 96, of Marksville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Valley View Nursing Facility in Marksville.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and devoted wife. She was a native of Marksville and a devout Catholic. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse after 32 years of service to others. She took care of all those that were in need. She was an exceptional care giver as a nurse, a faithful friend and best cook on the planet.
Helen B. Dupuy is preceded in death by her parents, August and Atalie Gagnard Bordelon; husband, Dymon P. Dupuy; brother, Stanley P. Bordelon; sisters, Narcille Kent and Mary Faye Misner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David A. Dupuy; daughter, Deidri (Burt) Brouillette, both of Marksville; five grandchildren, Andrea Adams and Margaret Reynolds, both of Marksville, Jacob Brouillette, Melissa Turner, and Nicholas Mayeaux, all of New Orleans; fourteen great grandchildren, Clay, Grace, Abigail, Evan, Natalie, Jersey, Anna Claire, Ellen, Will, Emily, Beau, Breanna, Brennen, Benjamin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Clay Adams, Evan Brouillette, Nicholas Mayeux, Jacob Brouillette, Scott Reynolds, and Brent Bartell. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Dauzat and Raven Jeansonne.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Valley View Nursing Facility and All Saints Hospice who added their love and compassion to the last years of her life. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the love of her family and friends and the Love of the Lord.
