Dawn Ann Carroll, 52, of New Albany passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Dawn was born on July 20, 1969 and dedicated most of her childhood to raising and training horses. She was an accomplished equestrian, before age 16. She was happiest in the barn raising, caring for, showing and loving animals. She was proud to have passed her love of animals along to her both of her children and two pseudo-nieces. She graduated from New Albany High School in 1987 and married her high school sweetheart shortly after. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandson. Dawn was also an entrepreneur who owned a catering company, Simply Lunch, for many years. She had a knack for creating tasty new recipes as well as creating the most beautiful food presentations. After selling the catering company she worked with Panera Bread catering until she retired to care for her family full time. The family would like to extend many thanks to her loving caregiver, Renee, for all that she was able to do for Dawn. Dawn is survived by her husband of 34 years, her two loving children, and her grandson, AKA her little miracle. She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Lois English, and brother, Army Captain Shawn English. The final resting place will be in Maplewood Cemetery in New Albany, Ohio.
