Rachel H. Ferdig Leighton, 91, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1995, at her granddaughter Kathy Colson's home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday Aug. 14, at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, ¼ mile west of the Cloverdale/Fairview intersection, on Fairview.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Charles and Darlene Ferdig, and Norman and Rosa Ferdig; a daughter and her husband. Patricia and Richard Brown; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, John and William Ferdig; a daughter, Alta Mae Knickerbocker; two husbands, Charles Ferdig and Sam Leighton; two brothers, Joe and Guy Quackenbush; and a sister, Hazel Kessler.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Friends may call today from noon until 5 p.m. at the Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise.
