Mary Lou Armstrong Black, 88, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born November 10, 1930 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Essie Mabel and Forrest Neill Armstrong. She graduated from Oklahoma A & M in 1952 where she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi. After meeting in college, she married the love of her life, Thomas O. Black, Jr. in July 1952. They started Tom's career with Cities Service Oil Company, and after several moves finally settled in Tulsa in 1963. Throughout the years, Mary Lou was involved in the Junior Board of Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association, the Assistance League of Tulsa, Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club, PEO, Kiwanitas, and was an active member of New Haven United Methodist Church. Mary Lou lived her life by her example of grace, sweetness, courage, and style and leaves behind many close friends who will miss her dearly.
