BRAMWELL — Robert Lee "Bob" Eller, 90, of P.O. Box 221, Bramwell, passed away peacefully at Bluefield Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at 2:00 a.m.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1916 in Seven Mile Ford, Smyth County, Va., to the late Charlie and Rachel Evans Eller. Mr. Eller was a resident of Bramwell for over 60 years and was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. He was a retired miner and the owner of Bramwell Service Center in Bramwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Frances Hill Eller; a daughter, Janet Lee Gomez Yanis; a son, Warren Clark "Bill" Eller; three sisters, Virginia Eller Davis, Lucille Eller Ollis, and Mae Eller Dunford; two half-brothers, Charlie Evans Neal and Walter Evans Pierce. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Survivors include: Daughter: Beverly Aker and husband Earl of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sons: Robert Michael Eller and wife Kelly of Bramwell, Wesley Eller and friend Cindy Dalton of Princeton; grandchildren: Consuelo Brennan, Les Aker, Jane Aker Nix, Christina Waguespack, Gerard Gomez, Kevin Eller, Justin Eller, Jessica Eller, Erin Eller, and Christy Cornett. Great grandchildren are Gregory and Caroline Brennan, Les Jr. and Bridget Aker, Nicholas, Melody, and Andrew Waguespack and Madeline Eller.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Sam Cale III and Elder Jim Godwin Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Kim Murphy, Brennan Murphy, Kennan Murphy, AW Carver Jr., Gerardo Gomez, and Robert E. Baugh will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Friday (today) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Eller family.
