Roland Luckey, Jr. of New Hebron, MS, went to be with the Lord on August, 10, 2021 at Magee Hospital. He was born in Mize, MS. on February 1, 1943. Roland served our country for ten years in the U.S. Navy. He was honored with the following awards, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. He retired after twenty two years with the U.S. Post Office.

He was a Christian and a faithful member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church. He loved his Church and Church family. He loved spending time with his family and friend's. When he was able, he loved to fish and hunt.

Roland is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy for over fifty years who passed away nineteen days ago; father, Roland Luckey; Mother and Pop J.W. and Eloise Mason; sister, Sandy Mason; brother, Billy Joe Mason. He is survived by his sister, Janet Tate (Gene) and Judy Steen (Joe); brother in laws, Tommy Douglas, Butch Douglas (Diana); nephews, Charlie Plyer (LuAnn), David Mason (Amanda), Logan Mason, Buck Douglas (Kate), T.J. Douglas, Benjamin Douglas (Kaisey); nieces, Jamie Cuy Kendall (Don), Holly Gomez (John) and 13 great nephews and nieces; aunt Doris Welborn and several wonderful cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at McGee Hospital for the care and love they gave Nancy and Roland. They were also loving and caring to the families.

Memorial may be made in lieu of flowers to Blair Children's Hospital, St. Jude or Shriners Hospital. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Douglas, T.J. Douglas, Grant Jones, Danny Rankin, Lee Tatum, Hal Jones and Blake Jones.
