Leesburg - Richard A. Davis "Big Rich", who resided in Leesburg, FL passed away on August 9th, 2021 at the age of 68. He is preceded by his father: Arthur Davis, his mother: Shirley A Davis, his stepfather: George Davis and his son: Travis Scott Davis. He is survived by his wife: Kimberly Smith-Davis, his sister: Debbee Davis, his brother: Sean Davis, his daughters: Nicole (Garrett) Wassus and Heather (Greg) Wolking, stepson: Brice Smith, grandchildren: Travis, Elijah and Nicholas Wassus, Ainsley Wolking and Peyton Smith, the mother of his children: Teresa Davis and his nephew: Joseph Marcario. He was born in Manhattan, New York on December 24th, 1952 and grew up in Staten Island. He proudly served in the Coast Guard and the Air National Guard. He raised his family in Hebron, KY where he then retired from Delta Air Lines as a GSE mechanic and Inland Marine Services as a Chief Engineer. He and his wife, Kim, moved to Florida in 2013 where he loved being in the sun year round. You could find him riding his motorcycle, fishing, watching Jeopardy! nightly or a movie he had already seen a hundred times. To know Rich was to know laughter. He was respected by all who knew him and a devoted family man. He will be missed greatly. His wishes were to be cremated followed by a Celebration of Life. This will be arranged once he's brought to KY. Details will be shared with family & friends.
