Bertha E. Harvey, 94, died on November 16, 2007 in Peoria, Illinois

She was born March 18, 1913 in Lacon, IL to Charles and Lucy Ellen Thomas Fay. She married Clifford C. Harvey on Aug. 1, 1931, in Lacon. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1993.

She is survived by four sons, Charles "Cheerful" (Joyce) Harvey, Carl (Gloria) Harvey, Clifford (Patsy) Harvey and Jack (Pamela) Harvey; three daughters, Gloria Zilm, Sharon (J.T.) Haycraft and Josephine (Tom) Smith; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Isaac Moulton and Tina Turner; one great-grandchild; five sisters; and two brothers.

Bertha worked at the Lacon Woolen Mill and as a cook at Reynold's Tavern, Ken Rod's, and later Pettett's Restaurants and Wilson's Tap, all in Lacon. For many years she cleaned ducks for area hunters during duck season.

Burial will be in Lacon Cemetery.
