Adam Daniel Arnett, 36, of Murphysboro, passed away August 15, 2021 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN surrounded by his loved ones, from complications of Covid. He was born May 3, 1985 in Carbondale to Danny & Cheryl (Zoller) Arnett.
Adam graduated from Elverado High School in Elkville in 2003 and then graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing with his BSN. He worked as an ER Tech for Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) in 2006, then worked at St. Louis University as an RN, and was an ICU nurse at David Grant Medical Center at Travis AFB in California. Throughout his nursing career he worked in many areas including trauma, neuro, cardiac, cath lab and ICU. He returned to SIH in 2014 and worked as an RN/Manager, and was most recently RN Nursing Professional Development and Outcomes Leader in the Education department.
Adam enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hiking, cooking, the St. Louis Cardinals, and going to the gun range.
He is survived by the love of his life, Danielle Anderson, of Murphysboro, his parents of Vergennes, his sister Nicole & Drew Clarke and their children, Jackson & Reina of Waterloo; aunts and uncles David & Julie Zoller of Duquoin, Dan & Tracie Zoller of Herrin, and Deb & Jeff Endres of Vandalia; cousins and many friends; and his dog Remy.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph & Shirley Zoller and Don & Shirley Arnett, and a sister Kimberly Arnett.
A Celebration of Adam's life will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Buck Bower Park Pavillion in Ava, IL from 4-7 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.
Memorials may be given to the family. Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro is in charge of arrangements.
