Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, McLeansville, NC with Pastor Josh Eller officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10-11, prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David C Atkins & Cora Kiziah, 3 Brothers, Dewey, Earl, & J.D. Atkins; one sister, Barbara Ann. He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Brenda Atkins; 3 daughters, Christina (John) Denton of Martinsville, VA, Cindy Anderson of Fieldale, VA, Dana (Marvin) Dodson of Rocky Mount,VA; 2 sons, David (Christina) Atkins of Burlington, NC, Lee (Regina) Bowles of Bassett, VA; grandchildren, Hunter (Jennifer) Denton of Martinsville, VA, Austin & Brantley Atkins of Burlington, NC; several nieces, nephews & host of friends.
Billy loved fishing & bowling. He was always doing one or the other on the weekends when he had the time. He loved taking trips with his friends & family. He had a sense of humor that no one else had! He lived life to the fullest till he couldn't do it no more. He loved his children & grandchildren to death. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of McLeansville, NC. He always was flirting with all the pretty woman he saw till the day he passed away. Although he will be missed we will always cherish his memories.
