Patricia L. Valenta, age 84, lifelong rural Two Rivers resident, passed away peacefully late Friday night, August 13, 2021 at Azura Memory Care of Manitowoc.
Patricia was born in Two Rivers, April 28, 1937 to Raymond and Marie (Jost) Funk. She attended schools in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1955. On June 22, 1957, she married Raymond Valenta at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with five sons and sixty-four years of marriage. Pat worked for Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers for 30 years, retiring in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting, embroidery, and an occasional visit to the casinos. Above all, Pat enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially spoiling her grandkids & great-grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; five sons & three daughters-in-law: Steve Valenta, Greg (Kerri) Valenta, and Dan (Julie) Valenta, all of Two Rivers, Jeff (Terri) Valenta of Jackson, WI, and Patrick Valenta of Waupun; six grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Bruce, Emily (Chris) Spencer, Hunter Valenta, Landon Valenta (fiance, Tonya), Breanna Posvic-Valenta, Katelyn Valenta; and seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Liam, and Emma Bruce; Tobin, Will, Jaxon, and Graham Spencer. She is further survived by a brother, Paul Funk of Two Rivers; three sisters & two brothers-in-law: Peggy Krejcarek of Mishicot, Nancy (Gary) Tomchek of Manitowoc, Sandy (John) Kleckner of Two Rivers; along with other brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: James Valenta, Benjamin (Nancy) Valenta, Francis (Rita) Valenta, all of Mishicot; Richard (Carol) Valenta, Mary Lou (Bill) Rocheleau, all of Florida; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marie Funk; a sister & two brothers-in-law: Liz (John) Peltier, and Ken Krejcarek; sister-in-law, Diane Funk; and brother-in-law, Jerome (Marilyn) Valenta.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Christian Raj, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
