CATTARAUGUS - Marian M. Hess, 93, of Cattaraugus, passed away Saturday (Aug. 14, 2021) at Mercy Hospital, in Buffalo.
She was born April 24, 1928, in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Carl and Lela Hintz. On June 15, 1957, she married Andrew Hess, who predeceased her on April 11, 2013.
Mrs. Hess and her husband had a dairy farm in East Otto for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto, and it's Ladies Aid.
She is survived by two sons, David (Maria) Hess of Gowanda and Paul Hess of Allegany; four grandchildren, Dennis, Andrea, Jennifer and Tiffany; a great-grandchild; Myles; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her loving husband, she is predeceased by two sisters, Thelma and Eleanor; and a daughter, Diane Hill.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 21, 2021) at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Timothy Klahn, officiating.
Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Springville.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Otto.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City St., Little Valley.
