Elmer "Bill" Franklin Cude, Jr., 90, of Orange, passed away on August 15, 2021, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Paul Masters. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Black Oak, Arkansas, on October 22, 1930, he was the son of Elmer Franlkin Cude, Sr. and Alice Cude Parrish and grew up in Truman, Arkansas. Bill loved fishing, skating, and bowling in his younger years. He was a member of West Orange Church of Christ where he served his Lord faithfully. Bill remained active into his older years and enjoyed working in his gardens both vegetable and flower. He adored his wife and together they spent a joyous 59 years. Bill loved his grandchild and great grandchildren and enjoyed being their "Daddy Bill". He was always willing to lend a helping hand in any way possible. Bill will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Lou Ellen Cude; father, Elmer and step mother, Maybel Cude; mother, Alice Parish; two brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his children, Carrie Lang of Newark, Texas and Douglas Paul Cude of Cove, Texas; grandchildren, Elizabeth Maxwell and husband Bryant; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Madison; and sister, Pauline Edwards of Jackson, Mississippi; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
