Ella Maria Trull was born in Woburn, Mass., on Sept. 7, 1844, daughter of Elbridge and Sylvia M. Trull. She graduated at Woburn High School in 1861, and died of consumption (tuberculosis) in Woburn on March 12, 1866, at age 21. Five days later, a card in the Middlesex Journal & Woburn Townsman published this poem in her memory:
The flutter of an angel's wing,/ And Ella was at rest;/ She tuned her spirit voice to sing/ The sweet notes of the blest./ So softly passed her soul away,/ We thought her wrapped in sleep;/ But, oh! she entered Heaven that day,/ And left us here to weep!"
