Mrs. Sandra Jean Murphy, 74, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday August 17, 2021 at her residence, following a sudden illness.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on September 22, 1946 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Jo Dan Camp Bryant and the late William L. Bryant.

She grew up in Atlanta and married her high school sweetheart, Jack Fuller. Together, they had 3 children: Tina, Mindy, and Brett.

Sandy married Randy Murphy in 1983. In 1994, Sandy and Randy moved to Gainesville, GA to make the lake their forever home. She enjoyed boating, traveling, cooking, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Sandy never met a stranger and would be the first to step in to help people in their time of need.

Sandy was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and a remarkable Granny to her 4 grandchildren. Her loss has left a hole in the hearts of many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murphy is preceded in death by her brother, Horace Hardison and grandmother, Eva Stowe.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Randy Murphy of Gainesville; children, Tina Fuller of Gainesville, Mindy Woody (Clay) of Marietta, Brett Fuller (Lori) of Marietta; grandchildren, Ethan Woody, Rachel Woody, Caroline Fuller, Abigail Fuller; aunt, Eva Cathey of Gainesville; sister in law, Linda Hardison; nephew, Andy Hardison and a number of other family friends and relatives.

At the request of the family those attending the visitation and the service please wear a mask.
