Linda Mae Belcher, age 77, of Franklin, passed away on the evening of Monday, August 16, 2021. Linda was born December 11, 1943 in Beech Grove, Indiana, a daughter of the late John T. and Alberta L. (White) Braden.

Linda attended Whiteland High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1962. She spent her leisure time crocheting and reading. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed raising a garden. Linda provided childcare in her home for several years looking after many children. She was a devoted homemaker and deeply loved her family. She was a member of Ratcliff Grove Christian Church of Freetown and was a former member of the Southport Church of Christ.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lee Roy Belcher; her children, John (Lisa) Taylor, Michael (Lorri) Taylor, David (Renee McClintic) Taylor, Sherry (Keith) Schoen, Dereck Belcher and Mark Belcher; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren as well as his sister, Karen Whitaker. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in passing by her brother, John Alen Braden.

Funeral services for Linda will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to the times of services.

For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the Diabetes Association.
