Mrs. Amanda Herbert died on Saturday, October 27, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. W. L. Daniel, 1111 Fifth Avenue South, and was buried at Liberty Church the 28th. Mrs. Herbert had been in bad health for a number of years. She was a member of the M. E. church south. She had reached the age of 76 years.
Besides Mrs. Daniel, she left one son, R. W. Herbert and two brothers, J. R. Vaughan
of Moulton, who was at her bedside, and John Vaughan of Birmingham, and a number of grandchildren.

Mrs. Amanda J. Herbert died at Albany, Alabama Saturday morning and was buried at Liberty, a few miles east of town, Sunday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. Guy F. Ponder. Mrs. Herbert was 76 years old and had spent all of her life in this county until the death of her husband, Jack Herbert, since which time she has lived with relatives. She was a sister of J. R. Vaughan, who lives a few miles from here, and has many relatives both here and in Abany to mourn her loss.
