John Thomas Robertson, an aged and well known resident of the county, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lewis Nunemaker, 104 Marion Street Saturday morning, after an illness of some duration with a complication of troubles. He was over eighty years of age at the time of his death. The funeral services were held from the home at 10:30 o’clock Monday morning, conducted by the Rev. Crawford, and the remains taken to the Bluff Creek cemetery for interment.

Son of William Robertson and Sarah Smith, he married Eliza Jane Pea 29 Aug 1852. They were the parents of Cora, Isaac Elmer, Elnora, Samuel Frank, William H., Thomas J., and Alice D. Robertson
[The 1900 census of Boone Co. lists J. T. and Liza Jane (b. Dec. 1834 in Ohio) with grandson Earnie Chambers. Liza was the mother of 9, with five living at that time.]
