Kathryn was the daughter of Anthony John Plaschka and Elizabeth Grace Geiler. She married Milton Erwin Hackett on 01 Nov 1941 in Paola, Miami, Kansas, and had 5 children: Milton "Ed", Mary, Kathryn, Anthony and Beth.

KATHRYN 'RITA' HACKETT
STRONG Ottawa /STRONG -- Services for Kathryn M. "Rita" Hackett, 81, Pomona, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, south of Pomona.

Mrs. Hackett died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at her home.

She was born June 8, 1918, in Ottawa, the daughter of Antone John and Elizabeth Grace (Geiler) Plaschka.

She attended rural schools in the Ransomville community.

Mrs. Hackett had worked in Ottawa area restaurants and as a machine operator for Mode O Day, Ottawa.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa.

She married Milton Erwin Hackett on Nov. 1, 1941, in Paola. He died Feb. 12, 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Milton "Ed" Hackett, Lawrence, and Tony Hackett, Baldwin; three daughters, Kathryn Wittman, Lawrence, Mary Doke, Seneca, Mo., and Beth Hackett, Pomona; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Ottawa, where the family will receive friends after a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, and they may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa 66067.
