ALLEN J. STOUT IS CALLED BY DEATH

Allen Joseph Stout, aged 72 years, of Burley, Ida., died last night at the home of his son David A. Stout, 1164 Twenty-first street, of ulcerated stomach. He had suffered for some time of the ailment.

Mr. Stout was born in Nauvoo, Ill., during the troublesome times preceding the Mormon emigration to Utah. He was carried across the plains as a baby and spent his earlier life in Ogden.

He was born on December 3, 1845. He moved with his father and mother from Nauvoo to Montrose, Iowa, and then to Utah, arriving here in 1851. The deceased was not six years of age when he reached Ogden. Mr. Stout left Ogden twenty years ago for Idaho and settled in the Burley district. He came to this city about a month ago for medical treatment.

He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. Lucy Waring of Baker City, Ore., Mrs. Artie Green of Albion, Ida.; Joseph W. Stout of Los Angeles, Mrs. Maud Doran of Twin Falls, David A. Stout of Ogden; Edwin J. Stout, Richard H. Stout and Mrs. R. Clemens of Burley, together with thirty-three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Larkin & Sons undertaking parlors.
